Facebook | State Farm Cancelling 20 year customers over $2700 in claims!!!: "James Gauthier My wife and I have had all of our insurance- auto, life, home, motorcycle- with State Farm and have been customers for 20 years now. Today we received a Notice of Non-Renewal on our auto policy. When I called the agent and asked why, I was told that we had too many claims in the past year. I pointed out that with the exception of one of the claims it was someone else's fault, State Farm did not pay out and I only reported it because I thought I had to do so.
The agent said State Farm had paid out $2800 or so over the past 3 years. I asked if they were really going to cancel 20 year customers- who have been told we have guranteed renewal- and he said that is what underwriting was saying.
In essence, State Farm is cancelling life long customers for using the insurance we have paid for! That is definitely not being a 'Good Neighbor!'"
