My car is totaled and no one is helping, I've faxed the police report to the ALABAMA office showing the other guy was at fault (ticketed for careless driving) and showed him responsible for the damage to both vehicles, back of mine-front of his.

Everytime I call they tell me its under investigation but there isnt any investigating to do (thats what the police report is for!). First it was contacting the driver (they screwed up and put the claim on a guys fil with the same name but different state, which I dont know how they screwed up given that I gave them his policy number), now their questioning whether or not his coverage extends to a rental (which it does or they wouldn't have rented him the car)."

We had 5 inches of rain that night and had 3 inches in my kitchen. There adjusters are a joke. Waited over a week before one was sent out. Like i told my agent my neighbor feels like he is 1800 miles away. What a joke. Damaged my laptop and they say they will not pay for it because there was no structural hole in the roof. My new homeowners insurance is 400 dollars cheaper a year.....deductable is 365 dollars cheaper and i dont have to deal with bullshit like I did with you people. Today we received a Notice of Non-Renewal on our auto policy. When I called the agent and asked why, I was told that we had too many claims in the past year. I pointed out that with the exception of one of the claims it was someone else's fault, State Farm did not pay out and I only reported it because I thought I had to do so.

The agent said State Farm had paid out $2800 or so over the past 3 years. I asked if they were really going to cancel 20 year customers- who have been told we have guranteed renewal- and he said that is what underwriting was saying.

In essence, State Farm is cancelling life long customers for using the insurance we have paid for! That is definitely not being a 'Good Neighbor!'"

With each new horse I would fax a copy of the new horses coggins to the agent. Let them know I sold the last one and to please cover this new horse. Not ONCE did they say.. Hey.. did you know our policy has changed? Not once did they say anything other then 'ok.. we will take off.. (horses name) and add the new horse in it's place'. A few days later I would receive a 'statement' listing the new horse and the amount. Again.. no other paperwork was provided. They had plenty of chances to notify me that something was different.. but did not. And as I said.. the new agent did not tell me either. Colic is the #1 killer of horses. Why on earth would I have a policy that did not cover it?"

Each was placed on this policy during the 16 years while I owned them. Our State Farm Agent sold my mother this policy after we bought our first horse. I NEVER HAD A CLAME in 16 YEARS! July 2009 my horse Zeus died from a ruptured intestine from Colic. State Farm did not pay out on the policy. They said that Colic is an illness. I said so what. This policy was for death. Our Agent never said or gave us paperwork saying there were exemptions! Now maybe in the last 16 years State Farm added this exemption. HOWEVER they should have said something. You can be sure as a horse owner I would have discontinued my monthly payments and found another insurance company. I am so discussed with State Farm.. They did NOT “Have me covered” as their slogan says. I lost a beloved pet to something I had no control over. “State Farm is there for you when you need us” NOT!! PLEASE DON’T BUY THEIR “SADDLE HORSE” INSURANCE. It does NOTHING!"

For the second time, your company has closed my account because I am for some reason not paying bills that are sent to the address where I no longer reside.
I went in person to Mark Hough's Lititz PA Branch to re-open my account, pay my balance, change my address, and switch off from Rip Lawhead's Willow Street PA branch. I later found out that the re-instatement notice had mysteriously been sent from Rip Lawhead's office, to my old address.
After I first filled out the Address change info when paying my bill on March 28, 2009, I have finally received a 'Thank you for your business' letter, sent to my correct address, inexplicably from Rip Lawhead in Willow St., rather than Mark Hough in Lititz.
My response: I intend to take my business to a competing Insurance company. As I will be moving soon, I have no wish to deal with your company again."

I received that very same response to a complaint I put out here over a month ago - and yet I'm still waiting for actual HELP. I've been a state farm customer for over 20 yrs. They willingly accepted my premium every month, and now that I have $1700 medical bills lingering due to a car accident the other driver (also a State Farm customer) was 100% liable for, and yet they're denying my bills. It's been almost 11 mos since the accident and they're basically telling me to start arbitration if that's what I want - but that entails legal costs which is what they rely on - they don't want ppl to pursue it thru the courts which is why they use the scare tactic. Regardless, they don't pay out, they don't own up to their 'mission' and they count on you giving up. Good luck. Once the matter is resolved, I'd seriously consider finding a new insurance company. Then, ironically, as I continued the fight against them into the following year, they chose to cancel my policy. They stated that it was because I had filed two claims (distinctly weather related) in two years. This did not make sense as they let me renew that fall several months after the second storm but not 18 months later.
They have screwed people all along the gulf coast just the same way and out in California too. Check out the link I posted above. I will post photos

Eight months after moving into my very first home, it was sustained a direct hit by a tornado. I survived but the a substantial part of the roof was caved in by the full grown trees that came smashing through the rafters and almost down upon me. The sidewalls were bowed completely. An adjuster was hired by SF to assess the damage of my house. He spent 50 minutes on the scene and left. In the meantime, I hired a SF 'preferred' contractor to write another estimate. I received these estimates about 10 days later. They were for around 59, 000 dollars (I can't remember exactly) but ONLY seven dollars apart. How could this be!? (They colluded, that's how.). 13 weeks later, straight line winds hit my already smashed house and futher damaged it--about 6000 in fresh damage as I recall.

I fought SF for two years. They shelled out big bucks to pay for my housing while this was going on. All I ever wanted was a fair settlement, as other contractors and an independent adjuster estimated my home a total loss."

The other driver admitted negligence and was ticketed for the accident. Her side accepted full liability and called to advice seeking medical treatment if needed. So I did. After a month of taking a prescription that didn't help I seeked 4 mos of chiropractic treatment which was yielding results. State Farm has denied $1700 worth of diagnostic tests done. I tried to explain that a brain surgeon wouldn't go in w/out xrays but they simply stamp it denied and here I am with unpaid bills for an accident that wasn't at ALL my fault. Great customer service. I just wanted to warn any customers to beware. Their 'mission' that's claimed on this FB page is a joke. They are not there for you when you need them. I have carried SF for over 20 yrs, never needed to rely on them - and yet they won't own up to their responsibility."

See what loyalty gets you. All of our cars and our children cars and homes are with State Farm as well. I guess we will be changing that as well.

I know some bean-counter in an ivory tower somewhere made this decision based on some statistical analysis table. But did he ever stop to consider how many people I and my family will tell about this? As we now have to shop for new insurances I will tell my story to each competing agent of State Farm and he will retell my story many times over to sell against State Farm.

The other loser in this is my State Farm agent. What a great guy. But in spite of all his good efforts the company left him out in the cold without a valued customer. Face it agents of State Farm, you are a tool, they can and will stick it to you as they do their customers when it suits them. Beware!"

Took two weeks to get any communication going through State Farm--car is totaled. Bad information from State Farm as to what should have been on the title. Fibs, Lies, and misleading information are what I have got through this whole process. State Farm has my car, my title, and my money. After 24 years and having 10 policies with them at one time, I get poor customer service and abuse? I believe the CEO needs to go undercover in his own agency and figure out what is really going on in this gigantic business. I am from a small town and I thought having the same agent for the 24 years would be of assistance--no assistance; fighting the battle on my own. Hope to have it resolved this week and will be seriously considering taking the nine policies I have with them to someone who appreciates my business and my money.
